The Ginninderry development have advised that due to progress on the housing estate they have been able to move the Bicentennial National Trail route from its temporary alignment through the Strathnairn garden onto something closer to its final route. There is now a fenced route around the garden of the Link building as shown on this plan. Ginninderry have advised that they will let ACTEA and the BNT coordinator know if there are any activities at the Link likely to cause problems for horse riders.
In another piece of good news, Stockdill drive is moving– much closer to the Ginninderry housing estate. This means the present Stockdill drive will become redundant and will be removed, thus creating a much wider verge space for the BNT. There is no date for this removal yet but the traffic switch will happen on Monday 8 April. This will not interfere with the access onto the Link Road.
Please pass this message on to anyone on the north side who might use this part of the BNT.
