Equestrian Park Bookings

The Park or parts of it can be exclusively booked for club events, professional clinics or classes.

The following provides details on hiring requirements for the Equestrian Park as well as forms (electronic or other) for booking the facility.

Equestrian Park now has a Facebook Page @EquestrianParkACT

Please note: Equestrian Park is NOT a riding school. Horses cannot be hired at the Park. An internet search using the term “horse riding schools in Canberra” will produce contact details for a number of riding/instruction establishments around Canberra.

A form suitable for mailing or faxing is available here– the form can be completed using a computer. Hirers should carefully read the

Charges are negotiable for non-standard hire (for example, clinics with a small number of horses).

ACTEA is a voluntary non-profit organisation. The cleaning deposit represents what it will cost to return the Park to a state suitable for other equestrian bodies to use. Please help us and SAVE YOUR ORGANISATION MONEY by ensuring that you leave the Park in the same state that you find it.

A rubbish skip is available. Hirers generating a full skip load of rubbish or more may be required to pay for the skip to be emptied and/or for additional rubbish collection. If you expect your event to generate significant rubbish, please plan ahead and arrange for additional bins/skips.

It is recommended that all clubs should visit the venue at least 1 week before their event to check on the status of the park (does the grass need cutting, are there any safety concerns, is the rubbish skip full?) and if there are any issues to either arrange for the work to be completed (if it is a club responsibility) or contact the Park Manager if it is a hiring arrangement (eg the skip needing to be empty). Please note that contacting the Park Manager on a Friday/Saturday afternoon before your event with an issue is unlikely to have that issue resolved before the even.

If you notice that the Park or Kiosk is not clean before you use it, please ring the Park Manager Kate MacKenzie on 0403 2000341 BEFORE you use the venue so that charges are not levied on your organisation.

Checklist to be Retained by Hirer

Please retain this check list and complete on conclusion of your event. The Hirer will be charged the corresponding fee if cleaning or tidying is not completed.
