After one hours work the dozer has been called away to cut fire breaks at the Tallaganda fire. No one knows when he will be back. There will be an annoucement when he restarts work at the Zoo Pines.
Parks & Conservation have advised that there will be a bulldozer clearing the area between the southern fence of the Zoo and the pine plantation as shown on this map. Works will commence in this area on the 27th November 2019. Due to the very high fire danger days the ACT is currently experiencing works may commence early each morning and finish before 12pm once the Fire Danger Index increases. Work is expected to take most of the week. The area will be appropriately signed for the duration.
