The Basin Project is about to start its second round of community consultation in order to prepare for the development application process and construction. Local equestrians and ACTEA have had a strong input to this consultation process.
Projects on equestrian trails include:
- Rain gardens at Fadden Pines in Wanniassa and Curtin
- A wetland on Dixon Drive Holder
- Major bank stabilisation on the Yarralumla Creek in Equestrian Park
You can view and discuss the projects in the Weston Creek area at a drop-in-session being held at the Hughes Community Centre, Whittle St, at 3 pm to 7 pm, on Wednesday 7 September.
You can discuss the project on Dixon Drive in Holder (present route of the BNT) at Weston Creek Uniting Church Hall, 16 Parkinson St. at 3 pm to 7 pm, on Thursday 8 September.
There are also a couple of projects near horse trails in Wanniassa that you can see at Tuggeranong Library, Cowlishaw St at 3 pm to 7 pm, on Thursday 15 September
